From height to height - BlackCombat T-shirt height challenge

Last year we started the BlackCombat T-shirt height challenge. As it has been so far rather near sea level as some climbed up to couple of hundred of feet, this month the Grand master himself pushed the barrier a bit.

On the 7th of September Grand master Horst D. Lindenau climbed the holy mountain Croagh Patrick in Ireland. The peak is 2507 feet high and the climb up there can be quite a challenge. Very hard to walk on all sorts of natural grounds. It took four hours to complete the walk and master Lindenau deposited a bunch of flowers at the top for a late friends.

Congratulation and .. who s next?

BlackCombat deals with situations

BlackCombat is the most modern idea about self defence. For what reason ever, over the last decades the martial arts world was concentrating on performed, studied, and regulated techniques the student has to learn to get graded.

Maybe this is because of the influence of Hollywood movies, the arrive of business in martial arts or often just uneducated practitioners they made it to the top.

BlackCombat analyses a situation and the practitioner find out which is the best respond. At this moment, within the abilities of the student, looking into the law of certain countries, what is available to assist the defence/response, own experience and seriousness of the situation.

Don't learn these automatic skills like a combination of four or what so ever. Real fight, real bullying and real attack is different.

Join BlackCombat if you are serious about your self defence requirements. Drop us a line and we get back to you! Stay safe!

Outdoor training with BlackCombat SW England

Today we had another training in the park. It is absolute essential that one leaves the dojo and trains in as many various locations as nature, buildings, living spaces and around cars for example.

Here are some impressions from today. It was awesome.

Strike! Hard! Best three times

The capacity to hit (strike or kick) effectively and efficiently is an obvious asset when responding
to a violent situation. Go on social media and search for real assaults and street fights. What
you’ll see are some pretty consistent, pretty brutal, and most often pretty simple dynamics of
interpersonal violence. You won’t see the odd wrist locks, arm bars, slick tricks and fancy moves
that we’ve come to associate to many self defence programs as in BJJ or other fancy stuff. What
you will see more times than not is a violent clash of body parts, usually ending with a solid
punch (occasionally a kick) straight to the computer (head). Boom - and the lights are out. In BlackCombat we recommend to hit three times to make sure one fits.

BlackCombat trains the most common attacks

Law enforcement has got a quite good idea what kind of violence is waiting for you in our streets.
Of course today in Britain (and in Germany too) knife crime is on the rise. That shall be a seperate subject later.
Today we like to focus on the 7 most common attacks.
Does your martial art style and training prepare you for these situations?
Ask your Sensei or instructor to combine it with your education.
You need to stay save!

These are the 7 most common attacks:

1. One person pushes, hands to chest, which is normally followed by the pusher  striking first, to the head.
2. A swinging punch to the head.
3. A front clothing grab, one handed, followed by punch to the head.
4. A front clothing grab, two hands, followed by a head butt.
5. A front clothing grab, two hands, followed by a knee to the groin.
6. A bottle, glass, or ashtray to the head.
7. A lashing kick to the groin or lower legs.

You can join as a beginner, but it is of advantage, if you have already some background in any other martial art style. for example a green belt in Karate, Judo and similar will do.
